Rudi Cole & Julia Robert
Julia Robert and Rudi Cole are both professional dancers and choreographers from Barcelona and Birmingham, respectively. They are the founders and Artistic Directors of Humanhood, an internationally award-winning contemporary dance company creating productions that fuse Eastern mysticism and modern Physics into a unique fluid movement style. Their work has being presented in more than 36 countries worldwide well as being broadcasted on the BBC and TV3, among many others. They are both avid explores of nature and have their own nature retreat in La Garrotxa (Catalonia). They have been practicing Western and Eastern’s forms of movement, as well as internal martial arts, like tai-chi and qi-gong, since their childhoods.
During the lockdown period in 2020 they started delivering online movement sessions for all levels, in which children and older people joined. They adapted their practice so it could be experienced not only by professional dancers but for everyone who wanted to experience a deeper connection with their body in an holistic and playful way. The sessions were greatly received and they expanded the idea into a well structured platform, Weflow, where people could create an intimate relationship with the practice and join them both flowing in different natural landscapes.
Through Weflow, their mission is to inspire people from all ages, backgrounds and shapes to connect with their body’s natural movement and create a healthy lifestyle.
